A visual and product designer with a background in fine-arts and 2d animation.
Hi! I am, Hanoch Samuel
I was born and raised in Bangalore, India. I finished my graduation in fine arts in 2009, and finished my post graduation in 2d animation in 2014. In the past, I've worked with companies such as Nickelodeon, and Discovery Network as creative producer, and currently working as a faculty of digital media arts at Srishti Manipal Institute of Art and Design.
I have been designing and making things since I was a kid. My earliest product was a solar cooker which I made when I was 7. Although I have been designing things through out my life, 2020 is when I started learning about UX design and started the applying the design process to my work. And have been influenced to constantly look for problems and design solutions for them; for challenges like these are what drive me to work. And I love every moment of the process.
I strongly believe dreams and imagination have the ability to take you from the world that you live in, and take you to the world that you could live in.
What am I like outside of work? I'm glad you asked.
Aquascaping is a hobby of mine which I developed when I was in my teens. I always liked wildlife and nature but the underwater ecosystem was something which fascinated me a lot, and wanted to recreate them. Over the years I have set up multiple tanks at my home, friends and relatives homes. Watching the plants grow, taking care of the fish, seeing the shrimps and snails healthy and happy is one of the most rewarding feeling.

My grandfather was a multi-skilled person and he is my biggest inspiration. When I was a kid I used to hang out with him and help him build things. In the process he taught me mechanics, masonry and carpentry. As I grew up, woodworking stuck with me and as I studied fine arts woodworking came in handy when creating wooden sculptures and models.

Giff animation is the my closest form of expression. I started doing Giff animation when I was studying animation film design at National Institute of Design. Even though I loved making animated shot films, Giff animation has a special place because I developed this medium as my language, and thoroughly enjoyed making them. It is also my meditation technique to focus and forget about everything else. I have also showcased my gift works at multiple galleries and art shows.

AR is a newly found interest of mine which I started experimenting during the pandemic. Although I had done a few projects collaborating with other artists earlier, I started understanding the tool in depth in 2020. In my AR journey so far I have worked in tools such as Artivive, spark AR and currently learning Unity.
